Jim and Linda Montgomery

James "Jim" Montgomery

James E. Montgomery, Jr. was raised in San Antonio, Texas. He has a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University. His law practice concentrates on buying and selling businesses and tax savings corporations.

 

He has been a Rotarian since 1983. He joined the Rotary Club of Beaumont and following his return to his hometown of San Antonio in 1989, he became a member of the Alamo Heights Rotary Club, joining his father, James Montgomery, Sr., a long time Rotarian. He became President of Alamo Heights Rotary in 1996. He is a Charter Member of the Rotary Club of San Antonio at the Dominion. He is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, member of the Bequest Society, and a donor to the Rotary Foundation. Jim has also participated in coordinating two Matching Grants from the Foundation to distribute wheelchairs with the Wheelchair Foundation in Mexico and Africa.

 

Linda is also a Charter Member of the Rotary Club of San Antonio at the Dominion and a Paul Harris fellow. She has served the Rotary Club of San Antonio at the Dominion as club treasurer from 2003 –2004 and as vice president in 2004-2005. A graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio, she served as president of the Alumni Association in 2004-2006 and is a member of the University Development Board.

 

Jim is an Eagle Scout and has served in various leadership positions in the scouting movement at the pack, troop, and district levels. He and Linda have also been active with fundraising for the American Cancer Society, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio, the March of Dimes, and the KLRN Wine Festival.


Jim and his wife Linda have a blended family of four children with three daughters and a son. They have three grandchildren, two boys and a girl.
