Thank you General Manager, Ron Morander for trusting our District to make this a wonderful event for the past five (5) years, and most of all thank you Gordon Hartman for putting your whole heart and soul into developing such a wonderful place as Morgan's Wonderland. Last, but not least, I want Lisa Herring, PDG, RPIC and Jan Livingston, PDG, to know just how much I appreciate their hard work in making this past five years so terrific.
Below is an awesome email sent to me from a first-time volunteer with our District.
Jo Ann,
Dayna and I had a great time this evening at Morgan's Wonderland handing out candy to little ghosts and goblins. We were caught in the downpour until a nice man came along and helped us move our table and chairs under cover at the car ride pavilion. Don't know why we didn't think of that! We passed out goodies non-stop for two hours with no end in sight as many goblin reinforcements were entering the park as we were relieved at our station. Overall we could not have had a better time as the looks on the faces of the kids and their parents were priceless and we got so many "thank yous" from almost every child and parent.
As we were leaving, Gordon Hartman came strolling in with Ron Morander, General Manager, and since we were in costume, they knew immediately that we were Rotarians and acknowledged such. Morgan's Wonderland has to be the "gold standard" for special needs families and it's so great that Gordon had the foresight to develop such a wonderful park.
