Rotary District 5840 Dues
District Dues, are due and payable to the district by October 1st. The district has elected to make these dues payable in October so that your clubs budgets are not hit in July for two separate sets of dues. The district dues are totally separate from the Rotary International Semi- Annual dues which are due in July and January to RI.
The district dues are payable once a year and are based on the club membership roster as of 01 July. Currently the district dues are $35 per member and are payable by all clubs in the district.
$35 x (# of members as of 01 July) = Amount Due
District dues are used primarily to pay for the President-Elect’s registration at President Elect Training Seminar (PETS) held in Dallas-Ft. Worth in March. This is mandatory training for all President-Elect’s to attend. The district covers the cost of the registration. In addition, the remainders of the funds are used for general operating expenses that the district incurs throughout the year.
If you are not sure what your club’s membership number is/was as of 01 July, please review your current Semi-Annual Report from Rotary International. This report will inform you of the number of members RI has on record for your club. Your dues are based on that number.

District dues are $35 per active member on your club’s roster as of 01 July. Each club will be invoiced by email no later than September 1 based upon the numbers reported on the Semi-Annual Report (SAR) filed as of July 1. These fees cover various costs of doing business in the district; cover the cost of PETS training for each club’s incoming president.
