On Aug. 6, 2020, Arianna Lopez, 8, was seriously injured when vehicle crashed through her bedroom while she was sleeping. She passed away on Aug. 17. Arianna was a Starkey Elementary School student.
Her teacher, Hailey Mohnke, and the Starkey Character Council is working on a memorial bench in Arianna’s honor. Kerrville donated the funds so the school was able to order the bench in her memory to have on their school grounds with a plaque remembering her.
