The 12th Annual District Interact Conference was a huge success! Eighty nine Interactors from nine Interact clubs attended the event on November 11, 2023 at the Winston School San Antonio.
The day started out by honoring the veterans in attendance and then moved on to recognize the Interact sponsors. District Governor Monica Gutierrez passed out certificates of appreciation as well as a small gift to the sponsors for their hard work and dedication. Then we witnessed something that is not seen very often at conferences. The District Governor inaugurated the recently organized Frio County Interact Club. That was amazing! Other activities included presentations on Human Trafficking, Cyberbullying and Fentanyl. During lunch the Interact club presidents shared ideas with the District Governor and the sponsors met with the District Trainer.
The conference closed with an award ceremony. The Frio County Interact Club received the award for "most attendees" and the "club that traveled the longest distance." Surprisingly, it also won the highly coveted, "Spirit Award." The Winston School Interact Club wishes to thank all those who helped make the conference a huge success!
