What was your most memorable Rotary service project? A project called Merry Sockmas. Our Rotary club partnered with a local ministry to collect socks so that they could be distributed to the homeless. The origin of this project started with one of our charter members who always wore interesting socks. From that we started collecting socks for the ministry to distribute to the homeless
What part of your cultural heritage are you most proud of?
During Covid-19, our Rotary club conducted a joint online auction with the Aberdeen Balgownie Rotary Club of Scotland. Since we could not hold traditional fundraisers at this time, we sent the Aberdeen club things associated with Texas, and our friends from across the pond sent us Scottish items. Each club then held its own online auction.
What was the most important professional decision you made?
Incorporating Rotary into my professional life so that I can give back to our community as an individual and from my employer. I cannot imagine not having Rotary in my daily life. This month I am celebrating my 30th anniversary in Rotary.
