Dominion Rotary will be hosting our annual clay shoot to raise funds for numerous charitable causes and organizations. Including, but not limited to, Boy Scouts of America, Children’s Literacy through Rotary Interact and Aue Elementary EarlyAct programs, Morgan’s Wonderland, Methodist Hospital Children’s Group, and many others! As before, the clay shoot consists of teams of 4 shooters, shooting 50 targets of a sporting clay set up, with multiple flights of shooters.
The first flight of shooters will start at 11am sharp. Check-in and registration will be 30-40 minutes prior to your flight shoot time. San Antonio Gun Club will provide either .20- or .12-gauge ammo for you to shoot with. No ammo with shot larger than #8 is allowed. You will need to provide your own gun and eye protection. Shooters will receive a swag bag of items at check-in, ammo and the individual shooters scorecard. DO NOT lose your scorecard.
The team will provide the scorecards to the referee/target puller on each field prior to shooting. There will be five fields with 4 shooters each. When each shooter has shot 10 targets on a field they will then move to the field on their right and shoot 10 targets. This will continue until all 50 targets have been shot. Once shooters have completed shooting, they will receive a wrist band if they wish to have adult beverages. Absolutely NO alcohol is allowed to be drank prior to completing shooting for the day. This is a mandatory rule of SAGC and individuals who do not comply will be removed from the club.
Teams of 4 shooters are available for an investment of $1,000 and individual shooters for $300. Guests and non-shooters may attend the event, dinner and libations for a $50 investment. It is going to be a fantastic day with door prizes, games, raffles, adult beverages, music, cigars and catered dinner and hors d’ oeuvres from Central Market H-E-B!
