Beeville Rotary Club presented a $500 donation to Bee County Sheriff Alden Southmayd in support of the Junior Deputy Academy.
This annual event is for youth ages 10-14. This year alone, there will be 96 kids in the Academy. During the Academy, these kids are exposed to all types of training, including CPR and AED certification. The goal is to bridge the gap between them and law enforcement and also to get these future leaders interested in service to their community.
