Rotary Club of San Marcos presented a $20,000 check to Kelly and Beth Damphousse for the Kelly and Beth Damphousse Foster Educational Support Endowment at Texas State University. The endowment provides funding for students that were in the Texas foster care system to help them succeed in college.
Kelly Damphousse has been the President of Texas State University since 2022. Inspired by Dr. Damphousse’s experience with foster children growing up, the Damphousse Endowment helps foster students who “at no fault of their own were thrown into these circumstances.” The money was raised at Rotary's Mardi Gras Casino Night.
