Fredericksburg Morning Rotary has donated $5000 to Mision De Candelilla for the purpose of purchasing a slightly used Ultrasound machine to aid in their medical clinics in Mexico. Rotary District 5840 also donated $5000 to bring the total to $10,000 to complete the purchase.
Mision De Candelilla is a non-profit, non-denominational medical mission whose mission statement is “Changing Lives on Both Sides of the Border”. Their goal is serving 9 very remote villages in northern Mexico just across the Rio Grande river from Big Bend National Park every 6 months. They provide medicine for patients who have chronic illnesses such as diabetes and heart disease and see people with other needs as well.
Fredericksburg Morning Rotary has partnered with Mision De Candelilla many times over the years and are happy to be able to help in this very important way.
