The first Saturday of December holds a special place for the members of Mission Trail Rotary Club and their grantees. Through their charity, MTR Charities Inc., the Mission Trail Rotary Club produces the Mission to Mission Charity Bike Tour (M2M) annually and is celebrating the 21st ride this year.
“M2M is an all-volunteer, San Antonio charity event that provides biking challenges for riders at all levels,” M2M ride director Mariella Ozuna stated.  “This non-competitive ride is the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of the San Antonio Missions while supporting local charities.”
M2M includes a family friendly Mission Tour (17 miles) on dedicated hike and bike paths as well as THREE extended tours: Performance (24 miles), Endurance (48 miles), and Century (62 miles).
Prior to the event kick off, local non-profits are encouraged to apply for the M2M Mini Grant which awards monies for small, but important projects. In the past, the club has assisted with funding on projects such as original theatre productions for at-risk youth, formal attire for teens, and a monthly newsletter to increase awareness surrounding immigration law and policy.

Mission Trail Rotary Club has been a driving force for supporting the surrounding neighborhoods and local community.
Last year, the event raised more than $15,000 and the club awarded 12 grants to a diverse group of local non-profits serving at risk youth, individuals with disabilities, and senior citizens.

Recently, the club was endorsed by SA2020 and received a “Certified Awesome” designation.

We invite you to join us on Saturday, December 7, 2019 as we explore San Antonio's historical World Heritage Sites, while using fitness to raise funds and awareness for local charities.
