Thanks to the generosity of the AEP Texas Foundation and donations made in memory of Craig Dowdy, each child was able to select three books to take home and enjoy during the summer months. The event created excitement throughout the school as students eagerly browsed through a variety of titles and discovered new stories to explore.
By providing books directly to students, the Rotary Club of Pleasanton is helping encourage lifelong reading habits, support literacy, and foster a love of learning beyond the classroom. The smiles on the students’ faces were a testament to the impact that access to books can have on young readers.
This meaningful project reflects Rotary’s commitment to education and youth development, demonstrating how community partnerships can make a lasting difference. Through initiatives like this, the Rotary Club of Pleasanton continues to invest in brighter futures—one book, one child, and one story at a time.
