On Friday, May 7, 2021, the residents of Rotary Village, which has senior low-income housing apartments, enjoyed an outdoor Mother's Day Luncheon with the help of the Del Rio Rotary Club and other agencies such as La Vida Serena Nursing & Rehabilitation and Val Verde Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
The residents were treated to a delicious meal, and they listened to music.
Assistant Governor Gloria Wilson purchased awesome hummingbird, cardinal, monarch butterfly, and other wind chimes for the ladies. Rotarians Rita Daniels, Pat Bowers, Fred Bowers, and President Chris Ryan helped pass them out to the residents.
