The Rotary club of San Antonio South awarded nine students from southside high schools with $9000 in scholarship money.
Most money was raised during a golf tournament held in March. Brianna Hobbs, daughter of two Rotarians, was awarded an extra $1500 from Mr and Mrs G’s restaurant. Mr G was a long time member of the club who passed away this past March. Mr. G has known Brianna since she was 10-years-old and watched her flourish into the “service above self” individual she is today. The club was honored to also welcome the City of San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and District 3, City Council member Rebecca Viagran.
