On June 2nd District 5840's seven outbound students gathered with their parents, members of the District Committee, seven of the District's inbound students, DG Monica Gutierrez, DGE Kristin Salazar and DGN-D Bobby Martinez in New Braunfels for the final of three orientations. Following the orientation, DGE Kristin Salazar assisted by PDG Bill Dean presented District Pins to the students signifying their graduation from being Youth Exchange Candidates to Rotary Youth Exchange Students.
They have begun their departures for their exchanges with the last departing in August for their life changing time abroad, during which they will confront and overcome challenges, amass numerous once in a lifetime experiences and form life long relationships.
