District Governor Nominations
District 5840 selects the next District Governor in October each year.  We are actively looking for Rotary leaders to serve in this critical role for Rotary.  This year we will select the person to serve as Governor for the Rotary year beginning July 1,2024.  Persons eligible to be Governor must have served a full term as President of a Rotary Club and have been a Rotarian for seven years.

Medina Co. Food Pantry -Donation
The Rotary Club of Hondo-D'Hanis partnered with Broadway Bank, Hondo National Bank, Medina Electric Co-op, Hondo Public Library, D'Hanis Fire Department and Vulcan Materials Co. in a joint project to help collect non-perishables for the Medina Co. Food Pantry.

Bench in Memory of Arianna
On Aug. 6, 2020, Arianna Lopez, 8, was seriously injured when vehicle crashed through her bedroom while she was sleeping. She passed away on Aug. 17. Arianna was a Starkey Elementary School student.

Kerrville Blood Drive
Kerrville Rotary hosted a blood drive on 6/24/21 and it was our final one for Tammy's presidential year. Overall between our three blood drives we were able to donate 91 whole units of blood, 18 double red cell donations, and two red cell and plasma donations.
RCSA's U40 Class Kingdom Keepers Project
On July 11, 21 members of the Rotary Club of San Antonio's latest class of U40 (under the age of 40) members tackled a new project in support of a legacy project. Our club's Kingdom for Kids program has built 20 playgrounds in disadvantaged areas through the years.

4th of July FUNdraiser
It was a great turnout for the 4th of July Kiddie Parade and Main Street Parade!   So great to have our parades back up and running   The Fredericksburg-Nimitz Rotary Club sold brisket and pork tacos, hot dogs, sodas, water, beer and wine.  We raised $3,000 for our General Fund.  All funds will benefit our community.  
Donation to Peterson Medical Center
Tammy past president of Kerrville Rotary Club was able to donate $10,000 to their local hospital Peterson Medical Center. This donation was in honor of all the front line workers and all they have done during COVID.
Rotarians Partner with Meals on Wheels
The Hondo - D'Hanis Rotary Club partnered with Medina County Meals on Wheels to help deliver over 65 fruit baskets & meals to local homebound residents.

On July 1st Fredericksburg Nimitz Rotary club partnered again with Texas Heritage Vineyards and their Vino and Bingo for a Cause quarterly event to raise money for Meals for Vets.
