Wimberley Donates Weekly Meal Budget
Food Insecurity is the state of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.  Hays County has a food insecurity rate of 14.3% with 24,710 food insecure people....  8,609 of which are children.

When the pandemic hit and in person meetings were no longer recommended by the CDC, the Rotary Club of Wimberley voted to donate their weekly meal budget to the Wimberley Crisis Bread Basket.  There are more than 2050 Wimberley residents living below the poverty level.  We are proud to support our neighbors in their time of need, and we encourage those who can, to consider donating their time and/or resources to this worthy cause as well.
