Vocational Service is at the heart of Rotary’s mission and speaks directly to who we are as Rotarians. It recognizes the value of all occupations and reminds us that our professional skills, experience, and ethical standards are powerful tools for service.
Rotary Clubs across the District have been shining bright this year through the Rotary Rockstar Challenge, showcasing creativity, community connection, and powerful storytelling through public image efforts. With six levels of challenges, the program was designed to help Clubs elevate visibility, celebrate impact, and inspire engagement — and so far, it’s working! The majority of Clubs have already completed two or more levels, and we couldn’t be more proud of the enthusiasm and effort.
Our Rotarians were at the December opening of The Center for Brain Health at the San Antonio Medical Center, home to the Biggs Institute and its Alzheimer's disease research programs. The Rotary Club of Blanco County has partnered with the local eye clinic, Rolling Hills Eye Care, to provide vouchers for a free eye exam and glasses for children in financial need at Blanco ISD. The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) held its latest training on September 20, 2025, bringing together Rotarians from across the district for a full day of leadership development. The event also celebrated seven (7) Rotarians completing Part III, the final level of the RLI program, marking a significant milestone in their Rotary leadership journey.
Fredericksburg Nimitz Rotarians prepared and served a meal of prime rib, green beans and potatoes to families of Veterans from San Antonio before the Christmas Parade on Friday, Dec. 3rd. Nimitz Rotary Club has done this for the past 4 yours in conjunction with the Wounded Warrior at Nebo organization.
The Dominion Rotary Club proudly announces the overwhelming success of its annual holiday fundraiser benefiting the children of Methodist Children’s Hospital. Held on Thursday, November 20th at the H‑E‑B in Leon Springs, the community event—organized in partnership with the San Antonio Fire Department—drew strong support from local residents and businesses.
We served over 240 hot dog meals to the homeless community the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We partnered with Rebecca Court and Moussa for their donations of bottle waters and chips.
The Fair Oaks Ranch Rotary Club was among the many helpers at this year's Breakfast with Santa event. We brought joy to over 250 needy Boerne-area children. We joined with other Boerne-area Rotary clubs to provide a meal, a visit with Santa, a toy, face-painting and cookie decorating.
Rotary Club of Fredericksburg completed another successful Toys for Tots campaign on December 13, with the delivery of toys, stocking stuffers and family gifts to 440 children in 148 families. This year's Toys for Tots campaign involved approximately 1,300 volunteer hours.
On December 21, Rotarian‘s crossed the border and spread Christmas cheer throughout two of the Colonias handing out food, blankets, and toys. Del Rio Club and our very own Robert Martinez and his wife Denise met with the Acuna Club Sunday.
The Rotary Club of Beeville is spreading holiday joy in a meaningful way—by putting brand-new books into the hands of local children. Working alongside friends of Rotary, club members recently built a bright red Little Free Library to ensure children in the community can enjoy the magic of reading this Christmas season and beyond.
The Wiederstein Elementary Choir brought holiday cheer to the Rotary Club of Randolph Metrocom with their beautiful Christmas presentation — a cherished tradition that’s been delighting members for over three decades.
The San Antonio Northwest Rotary Club is spreading comfort, compassion, and hope through a special service project honoring the memory of longtime Rotarian and dear friend, Dave Adams, who lost his battle with cancer last year. In his honor, the club donated 100 large plush Care Bears to the MD Anderson Cancer Center at University Hospital in San Antonio. These bears will be distributed across three floors, providing comfort to approximately 90 pediatric and adult patients currently undergoing cancer treatment.

The Jourdanton Interact Club visited Argent Court Assisted Living on December 19th serving cookies and assisting the residents with making Christmas cards.
San Antonio Oak Hills Rotary club volunteered with Elf Louise to wrap Christmas packages for children. Rotarians came together to show their creative gift wrapping skills. Serving 13,000 children in the San Antonio area.
The Rotary Club of San Antonio South proudly participated in Wreaths Across America on December 13, 2025, continuing a tradition the club has upheld for more than four years.
This year, club members sold more than 100 wreaths, which were placed in an older section of Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Because this area of the cemetery receives fewer “designated grave requests”, the club was especially honored to ensure that the men and women laid to rest there were remembered and recognized.
On Thursday, December 18, Rotarian‘s enjoyed serving Rotary village residence a Christmas lunch and dessert. Raffle prizes were donated by healthcare providers and everyone enjoyed the afternoon. Our club also gives the residence a gift card to Walmart for a Christmas gift. Service above self.
The San Antonio Northwest Rotary Club recently completed a heartwarming service project benefitting children supported by Any Baby Can (ABC). The club donated 90 small plush Care Bears to bring comfort and reassurance to young autistic children receiving treatment and care through the organization, which serves children from infancy through age 17.
The Rotary Club of Canyon lake will be holding its annual fundraising event, The Romantic Rendezvous, on Saturday February, 14th 2026 at the New Braunfels Civic Center. This event is a Dinner and Dance, and Live and Silent Auction with a full dinner, dessert and complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks.
