Our Rotary Clubs do amazing service in our communities and across the globe. As I visit our Rotary Clubs I ask about their service projects and I hear wonderful stories of service. Stories about feeding the homeless, stories about helping homeless school children with supplies and special tutoring, stories about literacy programs in our communities and Mexico, stories about park and highway cleanup, And many more!
Dwayne Hopkins is the District Governor for the Rotary year beginning July 1,2022. He is a member of the San Antonio West Rotary Club and has been a Rotarian since 2008. He has been active in District activities and served 5 years as Assistant Governor.

The District Interact Conference was a huge success! 109 Interact members from 10 schools participated in fun activities, shared ideas, and gave an account of projects/activities completed, and their goals for the remainder of the school year.

This past week, the Rotary Club of Kerrville - Morning (Morning Rotary) was joined by Past District 5840 Governor Jan Livingston who helped the club members pack shoe boxes with Christmas gifts for boys and girls.

Blanco Elementary School’s Principal, Jowie Walker, has initiated a Homework Center this school year to assist students in grades 2 - 5 with their daily homework.
The Hays County Rotary Clubs of Kyle, San Marcos and Wimberley gathered together for a social on November 7th at the Hays City Store in Driftwood, Texas. More than 50 were in attendance. The clubs sponsored non-alcoholic drinks, chips, queso, salsa, and guacamole.
As one of the Chair's for District 5840's Halloween Event I would like to thank each and everyone of you that participated in "Morgan's Wonderland More Delightful than Frightful 2019" Event. We had over 100 adult volunteers and so many Interactor's I lost count.
On November 8th, 2019 the Kerrville Rotary Club hosted its fourth Veterans Appreciation Breakfast. The breakfast of consisted of free breakfast, the local color guard presenting the colors, local Rotarians sharing breakfast with our Veterans and Thank You notes from local elementary schools for the Veterans. “The notes will make you cry,” said event organizer, Donna Peterson.
The Fredericksburg Elementary School fifth graders again each received their own personal dictionary/thesaurus from the Fredericksburg Morning Rotary Club. They are used in the classroom all year and during the STAAR test, and then belong to the students. If you look carefully, Amber LeMaster's class is holding letters to spell out, "Thank you, Morning Rotary!"
