DG Bobby Martinez's July Message
Thank you to all the outgoing officers who helped make this past year such a success. I look forward to working with our incoming leaders to ensure a productive 2026-2027 year. The Presidential message for the upcoming term is "Create Lasting Impact." In alignment with that, my personal message is "Be The Change." Together, we will make a lasting impact in our communities and across the world.

International Project
The Acuña Club donated $250.00 and the West Springfield, Virginia Rotary Club donated $325.00 for this activity. Our Club donated the difference of $793.28 to complete the total of $1,368.28 to buy, toilet paper, wipes, and underpads, for the Nursing homes in Zaragoza, Coahuila ( Luz y Ezperanza), and Cd. Acuña, Coahuila ( La Divina Providencia).

San Marcos Presents $5,000 Gift to Senior Center
The Rotary Club of San Marcos, in partnership with the Burdine Johnson Foundation, presented a $5,000 check to the San Marcos Senior Citizens Center on June 10 to help the Senior Center fund services targeting seniors.

Partnership with Local EMT Offering Community AID
Nikki head of EMT AND I CYNTHIA CUEVAS AS PRESIDENT  of Wilson County provided the assistance to an elderly diagnosed with CANCER . We pray we provided a fresh breath of air to the resident.
San Angelo Fire Department and Tom Green County
The San Angelo Rotary Club, with support from a grant through Rotary District 5840, proudly partnered with the San Angelo Fire Department to help strengthen swiftwater rescue capabilities in the community. The donation of protective swiftwater rescue gear and a rescue boat — valued at more than $25,000 — will equip eight additional members of the SAFD swiftwater rescue team.

Winston School Receives Award
District Governor Craig Hardy presented The Winston School Interact Club with the “Best in District” Award 2025-2026 at the North Central Rotary Club meeting on June 8, 2026. The club performed 87 community service projects and racked up 1,700 service hours this school year.

Jourdanton Community Scholarships 2026
Jourdanton Community Scholarships began in 1985 with 15 local business men and women donating $100 from each business to three recipients, each receiving $500. The scholarship group grew quickly and finally turned the funds over to the Jourdanton Rotary Club.

San Marcos Donates to Mistick Krewe of Okeanos
The Rotary Club of San Marcos donated $500 and used musical instruments to the Mistick Krewe of Okeanos, a 501(c)(3) non-profit all volunteer organization that organizes a Carnival Parade in San Marcos each year on the Saturday before Mardi Gras. The parade features music and floats and winds through the Historic District of San Marcos and Downtown.

Nimitz Rotary partnered with Texas Heritage Vineyards Vino and Bingo for a Cause event to raise $1,500. Presenting the check to Jim Ryan are: left, Karen Montgomery, Special Events Chair, and Susan Johnson, owner for Texas Heritage Vineyard.

Blanco County Club Awards $12,000 in Scholarships to Local Seniors
The Rotary Club of Blanco County proudly awarded six scholarships of $2,000 each to graduating seniors from Blanco High School and Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) High School during recent end-of-year awards ceremonies.
 
The scholarships recognize students who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, and a commitment to serving others. Through its annual scholarship program, the Rotary Club seeks to support local students as they pursue higher education and career goals.

2026 Scholarships Awarded
The Rotary Club of Medina County awarded $8,200 in scholarships to area students during the month of May. Students from multiple county communities were awarded scholarships - 2 from Medina Valley ISD , 2 from Devine ISD, 3 from Hondo ISD, and 1 from Lytle ISD.
