 A Matching Grant developed by the Rotary Club of Kerrville, District 5840, and its sister club, the Rotary Club of Toluca in Mexico, provided uniforms, school supplies, desks and computers to two primary schools in Mexico.

Matching Grants support the international humanitarian projects of Rotarians, Rotary clubs or Districts in at least two countries; a partner outside the project country and a partner within the project country must work together to plan, implement, and complete the project. Grants fund a wide variety of projects such as providing water wells or sanitation systems, medical care and equipment, fighting diseases, projects to help the disabled, educational and occupational training, literacy programs and equipment and supplies for schools. Matching grant projects must involve active participation by Rotarians in order to meet grant guidelines.

Through Matching Grants, The Rotary Foundation matches contributions raised for international service projects by Rotary clubs and districts in two or more countries. The Foundation provides a one-to-one match for District Designated Fund (DDF)/SHARE contributions and a US$0.50 match for every new $1 cash contribution. Grant awards range from $5,000 to $200,000.
