San Marcos Rotary is grateful to Professor Charles Kaufman's Public Relations Campaign class in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University. Six PR students served as a PR team to assist Rotary with creating promotional materials for its May 16 Scramble 4 Scholarships, funding scholarships for San Marcos area high school seniors.
The students created news releases, a newspaper ad, and social media content. They also helped Rotary obtain sponsors and prizes for the event. Pictured: Scott Yarbrough, Rotary chair of the event (center) with the public relations students.
